This Privacy Policy explains how E. Moreira Studio ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use LineTalk, a mobile tool for writing scripts, recording takes, reviewing video, and exporting your work.
1. Overview
LineTalk is designed to work without an account. We do not require you to provide your name, email address, password, phone number, or profile information to use the core app. Your scripts, recordings, edits, and app settings are intended to remain on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, or contact us.
2. Information stored on your device
LineTalk may store content locally on your device, including script titles and text, favorites, recording settings, saved takes, trim or edit choices, playback preferences, and other app state needed to provide the experience. This local information is not collected by E. Moreira Studio to identify you.
3. Camera and microphone permissions
LineTalk requests camera and microphone access only when you choose to record a take. The camera is used to capture video and the microphone is used to capture audio for that recording. You can deny or revoke either permission at any time in your device settings. If you do, recording features may be unavailable or limited.
4. Photos, videos, and media access
When you choose to save, import, export, or share media, LineTalk may use the media or file permissions provided by your device. This access is used to complete the action you selected, such as saving a recorded take to your photo library or selecting media you want to work with. The app does not upload your recordings or scripts to E. Moreira Studio as part of its core functionality.
5. Sharing and exports
If you export or share a script, video, or audio recording, you control that action. The receiving app, platform, cloud backup, social network, or storage provider may process the content according to its own privacy policy. We recommend reviewing that provider's privacy terms before sharing sensitive content.
6. Firebase Analytics on Android
The Android version of LineTalk uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the app and the optional LineTalk Pro purchase flow are used. Firebase may automatically collect an app-instance identifier, app version, first opens, app opens and updates, session count and duration, operating system, device model, approximate geographic information, and in-app purchase events.
LineTalk also sends limited product events when a user opens or closes the Pro screen, taps the one-time purchase button, opens the Google Play billing flow, cancels or encounters an error, completes a purchase, or attempts to restore a purchase. These events may include the requested Pro feature, the LineTalk Pro product identifier, product availability, purchase-flow stage, and a technical error code.
We use this information only to measure feature interest, diagnose the purchase funnel, understand aggregate app usage, and improve LineTalk. LineTalk does not send your script text, transcript, filenames, photos, videos, audio recordings, contacts, name, email address, or phone number to Firebase Analytics. Advertising ID and Android device ID collection are disabled in Firebase, the related Android advertising permissions are blocked, and we do not use Firebase Analytics to display ads, build advertising profiles, or personalize advertising.
Google processes Analytics information under its applicable Analytics terms and may use service providers that support Firebase and Google Analytics. We use Analytics as a measurement service and do not intentionally share Analytics data with advertisers. Analytics data is encrypted in transit and may be processed on Google's global infrastructure. For more information, see Privacy and Security in Firebase and Google's Privacy Policy.
7. Data retention and deletion
Content stored by LineTalk remains on your device until you delete it in the app, delete the exported media from your device, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Because LineTalk does not require an account for its core features, we generally cannot access or delete content stored on your device remotely.
Analytics information is retained according to the retention settings and operational requirements of Google Analytics and Firebase, and for no longer than reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Analytics uses a pseudonymous app-instance identifier rather than a LineTalk account. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it stops that installation from sending future events. You may contact us with a privacy or deletion request, although the absence of a LineTalk account may limit our ability to associate previously collected analytics with a particular person.
8. Security
We use reasonable measures appropriate to the app's design. However, no device, application, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device with the security features offered by your operating system, especially if your recordings or scripts contain private information.
9. Children's privacy
LineTalk is not directed to children under the age at which they can provide consent under applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal information directly to us through support communications, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to LineTalk, its permissions, platform requirements, or legal obligations. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will show when the policy was most recently revised.
